About Notary Public
If you are dealing with overseas matters, it’s usually a requirement that you use a Notary Public for document authentication. A Notary Public’s primary role is to prepare, validate and certify documents under an official seal. If you are regularly having dealings abroad, it’s likely that you’ll need notary services in order to correctly and compliantly complete transactions. Whether you need Consular Legalisation, Power of Attorney notary, Apostille notary, our Notary Public will be able to help.
Here at Trent Law Solicitors, we provide notary services throughout the Midlands and Yorkshire. Appointments can be held at our Nottingham or Derby offices, or by prior arrangement at your own premises.

Some countries will accept a Notary’s certificate alone as proof of legalisation, while others will require a further international certificate called an ‘Apostille’. An Apostille Notary is issued by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office under the Hague Convention and is sometimes referred to as a ‘Hague Apostille’. Some countries may require further documentation authentication.

Dr Aamir Nawaz, a partner here at Trent Law Solicitors, is a qualified Notary Public authorised to practise throughout England and Wales. Practising under Trent Notary Limited, he is able to provide document authentication for use around the world. As well as notarising documents, he can obtain any necessary Apostille or consular legalisation on your behalf and arrange for onward couriering of your documents abroad.
