-----

We offer assistance for a range of family law issues. Our reputable, reliable and highly rated services are available for both contested and uncontested cases relating to these legal matters:

  • Annulment

  • Divorce

  • Judicial Separation

-----

For family law matters, it is not always possible to offer a fixed cost fee. We rely on the standard hourly rate guidelines published by the HM Courts & Tribunals Service when calculating our fees.

In some cases, such as if your case goes to court, we may have to instruct barristers to act on your behalf. Their fee quotes can vary based on their experience, among other factors. On average, they charge between £1500 and £3000 for a single day in court.

The costs quoted do not include any court fees, barrister’s fees, or advice and assistance relating to an appeal (if your case is unsuccessful in the first instance).

-----

The work involved in family law cases varies, depending on the complexity of the matter. Some contributing factors include the amount of supporting evidence that we need to consider, the case management timetable we would need to follow, whether there’s any collation of trial bundles or whether we will need to confer with barristers or other experts.

We generally estimate the following timeframes:

Initial discussion about the details of the case: 1 hour

A complete divorce case, from start to finish (no children or financial arrangement): between 3 and 5 hours

Please note the anticipated number of hours and fees are an estimate based on the facts above. All applications are likely to vary and of course, we can give you a more accurate estimate once we have more information about your specific case.

All figures quoted here are exclusive of VAT, which will be charged in addition to our cost.
